The proceeds go to FoodLife…a great agency that actually hired me right out of college. I got to help set up the first Letter Carriers food drive and it was such a boon to this great agency. This is an important drive that helps food banks stock up for the Summer. Summer is a tough time for low income families because kids that would normally get fed twice a day at the free school meal programs must now eat all three meals at home. So go ahead…weigh down your letter carrier. Our letter carrier, the kind Stephen says he doesn’t mind the extra weight at all!
