Y’all Are Invited

Okay, for some reason the fonts look like crap on this. Here’s what it says:
Vodka for Votes!
A get-out-the-vote cocktail party. Go to the polls, then belly up to the bar.
7pm, Nov 2nd
Paul and Rachelle’s Place
Bring a snack and stay to watch the returns.
Be a red-blooded American….drink!

Sounds like about the only way I’d even think about watching the election news tomorrow night….too bad I live far, far away in Texas! Enjoy….and may your candidate(s) be elected!
Believe me… we’ll be drinking north of the border too!
Have one for me.
Peace.
okay, i’m breaking out the grey goose. wish i was watching at your house!!!!
jen,
i’ve already got the tub-o-margaritas in the freezer. just hope i don’t need to _keep_ drinking when i see the final results!
eden quote:
“we voted at school today. kerry got 200 votes. bush got 25. 4 kids voted for i-don’t-care.”
Are you not afraid to lose you tax exempt status as a “church”?
ron,
no. not at all. this is a non-partisan event to get out the vote.
r
AT your “church” serving booze!
They used to close saloons on election day so people remained sober.
1) this is an event at our home, not at ThPM
2) abstaining from alcohol is not part of the requierments to be a religious non-profit. (what would the jews do at purim? or the catholics do at weddings?)
3) everyone, as usual, was sober. no one over imbibed and we didn’t even need to “close the saloons.”
4) everyone (except the Canadians) voted.
