Things that make a female personage crazy
I just spent the better part of two hours cleaning the big “P” with a “o-r-n” off my website. I have to do this everyday — though not for two hours. Today there were the grossest titles I’ve ever heard of. I felt truly slimed.
To keep these jerks from posting on my site, I had to close all my comments up to today. Hopefully I’ve got all the IP’s blocked now.
Just FYI.
Hey, can you pop me an e-mail and let me know how you block their IP’s? I get about one a day, usually on an archived post. Other than deleting the post or comment, how can I close the comments in my archives?
Have you explored MT-Blacklist? It’s a pretty good way of blocking comment spam on moveabletype blogs.
Far from fool-proof but it’s helped me a lot.

there is also another typepad tool that uses a code that has to be typed into a your computer that the robots can’t read and spam your comments.
they don’t want anything more than a higher google rating - it’s $$ in the bank to them. sick, sick, sick. i know that there are many typepad users who have this (my ip address must have been highjacked at some point for this kind of thing because i’ve been added to the SORBS data base - so i have to take the little eye test every time i post a comment on their blogs.
