Oh my aching head!

I haven’t been blogging lately. My migraine medicine made my heart freak out, so I had to stop taking it. A faulty valve in my heart is making it impossible for me to take most of the traditional migraine meds. Now I’m in pain again almost every day. I’m still seeking a solution, but it is slow going.

I was describing how my current only-if-you-have-to meds made me feel to my friend, Gwen. I told her the pain was gone, but the side effect was that I felt like my whole brain was gone too — like my head was a big helium balloon. It takes me forver to think of the answer to questions like “Do you want ice in your drink?” Gwen has a lot more…um….pharmacecutical experience than I do, so she totally started cracking up. “You’re totally high!” When I protested that although I felt spacy, nothing was funny, or more colorful, and I didn’t have the munchies, Gwen replied. “Well, that’s the difference between street drugs and the stuff your doctor gives you.” Drat.

In spite of the headahces, I’ve been thinking about monastic orders a lot lately though, and I’d like to write about that. So if the steriods I took about an hour ago work, I might write later tonight….after we have the pizza party for the folks that are moving Josh and T to their new place.
